Availability zones
The EOCube.ro platform runs its services in several availability zones, for performance and redundancy. The zones evolve continuously and will grow during the project and as further institutions join.
Available zones
UVT-01 (Timișoara)
Host: West University of Timișoara. The primary zone, with the computing and storage infrastructure for Earth-observation data analysis.

- JupyterHub — interactive computing environment for data analysis and visualisation.
Open JupyterHub - STAC Browser — browse and search the geospatial data catalog.

UPB-01 (Bucharest)
Host: National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest. The secondary zone, with complementary services and a fallback for operational continuity.

- JupyterHub — interactive computing environment for data analysis and visualisation.

Selecting a zone
After signing in, the zone selector appears in the header next to the session chip. Your choice is stored in the browser and restored on later visits, and the links below follow the selected zone.
Performance and latency
Pick the zone geographically closest to you: UVT-01 (Timișoara) for western Romania, UPB-01 (Bucharest) for the east.
